COMPLEX MAGAZINE 3D Final Destination

I have a backlog of shots I took of my spreads in mag's over the last 6 months that I'll be posting here. This is one of them from last year. Complex mag's annual Design & Style issue. The illo was for an article on the new 3D film Final Destination. Seeing how 3D is all the rage at the moment, this cheeky little monkey is posted here again. 

DESKTOP MAGAZINE 3D Issue

The latest issue of Desktop Magazine is out and this month it's a bumper 3D issue! Complete with a set of Madman 3D glasses - Bernard's Magic Shop would be proud. The guy's gave me a nice little write up for my Tee's in the coolstuff section. And my fav little 3D viewing tacker, from COMPLEX Magazine's style and design annual 2009, popped up in the ad for this years 2010 Desktop Create Awards. Cheers to the guys over at Desktop in particular Jo and Chantelle for the love.

SHORTLISTED FOR 'BEST ORIGINAL ILLUSTRATION'

I'm so stoked to be shortlisted for 2 Best Original Illustration Awards for this years Desktop Create Awards. The two pieces shortlisted are Complex 3D (Below) out now in the Style & Design Issue. And a 4 page Comic for Blender Magazine titled "The Astounding Adventures of Mastodon!" A chronicle of their infamous visit to last years New York Comic Con. You can see the full piece here -

COMPLEX MAGAZINE STYLE & DESIGN ISSUE

3D IN COMPLEX!

COMPLEX Magazine's 5th Annual Style and Design Issue hits the streets this week. An absolute winner cover by Graf Artist AUGOR featuring Kid Cudi. And an equally ripper back cover designed by French Artist So-Me (Kanye West's The Good Life, Justice's D.A.N.C.E) featuring Atlanta singer Keri Hilson.

I illustrated the piece at the header for an article on the new film Final Destination 3D. The only information about the movie at the time was it was in 3D, and featured a setup at the start with a car race accident.

It actually works in 3D! If you can get a hold of some old school paper glasses check it out in TRU - BLUE 3D!

3D COMMISSION FOR COMPLEX MAGAZINE

Just finished a piece for COMPLEX Magazine, a 3D illo. Actually wore these glasses to build it, courtesy of Bernard's Magic Shop in Elizabeth St Melbourne City. Can't reveal the illo yet, it's out in the August issue which is a ruddy long way away. I will post it here when it hits the streets.

Complex magazine spread on the guide to cheating. I used the old romance style inking to for this piece, different to my usual pieces, was nice to do something in this vein complete with text.
