My dad Mal Donnelly has been an illustrator for more than 35 years and we've just launched his first ever website! All his work is hand drawn with pen and ink or renderings in gray lead or sepia tone pencil. He is a real estate, architectural and technical illustrator who was at the forefront of newspaper real estate listings through the 70s 80s and 90s before digital photography took over. Open any newspaper from that era and you're sure to spot a Mal Donnelly rendering. An industrial designer for NYLEX in the 70s, worked with all the major Victorian newspapers illustrating real estate listings, has been an art teacher for over 35 years and has taught me everything I know today. His wisdom, advice and teachings made my choice to become a full time illustrator so much easier, not to mention inheriting my skills from him!
