SKIPPY, RUBBER BANDS, HESSIAN SACKS, UP SKIRTING & FRANK THRING

Tonight on the ABC at 8:30 don't miss the Skippy - Australia's First Superstar. Whilst we all grew up on this wholesome, nationalistic, local version of Flipper, not many of us know the secrets to Skippy's abnormally human-like movements, communications with bush butterball Sonny using 'tut tut tut's' and the crime fighting skills to rival the Piranha taskforce. With the ingenious use of peanut butter and fishing line to coax Mr Ed into an utterly convincing conversation with Wilbur, the producers of Skippy used similar technique's like rubber bands and chewing gum for him to much on and his dressing room was a hessian sack, which guest star Frank Thring quipped "If that's the stars dressing room, then what do I get?"
