It should be a great show with the Rip Curl Pro on and glorious Easter weather!

WAX OFF: SURFERS THAT ART

OPENING: LORNE, EASTER SATURDAY 11APRIL, 7-9PM: ALL WELCOME

Saturday 11 April 2009 to Monday 27 April 2009

‘Wax Off: Surfers that Art’ at Green-Wood Regional Gallery in Lorne, Easter 2009, showcases artworks from 15 well-known fine artists, photographers, illustrators and designers behind the biggest surf corps in the country.

Salt water runs through the veins of this inspired group. Drawn together by their ocean-orientated occupations and pastimes, each artist brings to the exhibition a unique perspective on surfing culture in their own preferred media.

These artists leave behind the restrictions of their working agendas and release their free creative spirits in ‘Wax Off’, an exhibition for surfers, art critics and transient hippies alike. Man.

ARTISTS: David Bowers, Ben Brown, Xavier Davies, Eamo Donnelly, Mick Egan, Ryan Heywood, Claudio Kirac, Adrian Knott, Wade Lewis, Tom Milledge, Nick Morris, Lee Vaiese, Ben Waters, Adam Wheatley, Jeffrey Williams
