BLENDER MAG - STAGE DEATHS

Illo for the latest BLENDER magazine on famous stage deaths. This guy is Les Harvey from the Scottish Rock Band (and very Ocker named) STONE THE CROWS! In 1972, a great year for FORD in Australia with the XA being the first Australian designed Ford which, was followed up by the famous Mad Max XB model (which I am proud to say I own one) and the year Gough Whitlam became Prime Minister. So in 1974, Les Harvey became the victim of electrocution when he bent down to touch an unearthed mic. The same thing happened to my Dad around the same year - early 70s - Malcolm Donnelly who was in the Australian Pub Rock Band REDHOUSE, luckily he didn't die, but after touching his amp stack which was unearthed, the shock flung him back off the stage into the air. Crazy 70s rockers! Checkout http://ozblogdownunder.blogspot.com/2007/02/redhouse-i-like-dancing-1-song.html
And these 16mm films of the gang performing in and around Geelong. Dad is the one with the big moe! Which Moe is up to you!
